Reawakened by Ada Adams

Published: November 27 2012
Pages: 540

I was very kindly sent this book from the author for review, and I could not be happier as I had also received Revamped as well and that left off on such a cliff hanger, that I was dying to know what happened, and where Dawn's story would go next. As a fair warning, if you have not read Revamped, you are going to want to stop reading right....about.....now! (This review may contain spoilers to the first in the series)

It left off not long after Revamped ended and the action started pretty much right away and did not end until exactly on the last sentence, and I LOVED every page, every word, just everything! The same characters that were in the first book were in the second, and there were a few new characters introduced as well, like Razor, he is now one of my favourite funny fictional characters ever, he had me laughing through most of the book as his sarcastic humour is very much like my own.

I thought that there were a lot of twists and turns in the first book, that was nothing compared to this one. Looking back now, finding out that she was cloned seemed to be one of the lesser worries in Reawakened, there is  just SO much else going on that her and the team need to help with that it took a backseat for a bit.  Even when it did pop up again, somehow Ada managed to put a twist on a twist in a story, how fantastic is that! There is always two sides to a story right? Just when I thought I had something figured out and I knew where it was going to go, nope, Ada throws another wrench in and adds something MORE to an already action packed book.

I have just loved this series so far and I am chomping at the bit for the third in the series already! Oh, and might I add that Ada if you are reading this, you are an evil evil woman and I hate you very much!!! (But in the most respectful way of course because you are a true master of the cliffhanger)

Carnevale by Rivka Spicer

Published: 2012
Goodreads: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17344553-carnevale

Carnevale is the second in a series, Masquerade is book #1.  Carnevale starts off a while after masquerade ended, and we meet Oceana again. She has had the baby and is living with one of Tristan's old pets and having her help with the care of the baby, and everything is working as Oceana would want for now. She is away from the vampires and their world after losing Tristan.

Then things start to get interesting for her, and she is suddenly thrust back in to their society and it does not sit well with her at all. She is the leader of their house, and she is hesitant to take on that roll, she never asked for it, never wanted it, Tristan made her the leader and she is still a little angry with him about that.

There is so much that goes on in this book, and Oceana learns a lot about what Tristan has done behind her back, and she struggles with her love for him and her feelings of betrayal. She also becomes increasingly aware of the mutual feelings that she has with Will, and they are trying to decide what to do about that.

In amongst all of this, there is a great threat to their house, and we get to see all of the great characters that we loved in masquerade come back, and I was extremely happy to see that, I love all their different personalities. We are also introduced to some new characters that are quite colourful as well, and the story line takes a twist that it really exciting and I could not read fast enough, and I really wish that I had someone to talk to about it, but I cannot put it on here and spoil it for you guys.

If you love vampire stories with a bit of a twist, this series is the one for you! I guarantee you will love it just as much as I do, and I cannot wait for the 3rd book to come out, I need to know where this series goes! 5/5 please go read it!

Revamped (Angel Creek #1) by Ada Adams

Published: February 20 2012
Pages: 291
Goodreads: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13495219-revamped

Revamped is about a 19 year old girl named Dawn, and right from the beginning we know that she is a vampire, however, what I love about this novel is that it is not a "typical" YA vampire novel. Dawn is the daughter of the daughter of the vampire President, and vampires and humans live in full knowledge of each other. As Dawn is the daughter of the President, he has kept her quite close to the estate that they live, and she is an instructor for the younger vampires, and we see her leading them in a defence session.

Dawn's one dream was to be given an assignment off of the estate, but her father has always been reluctant to do so for fear of something happening to her. One day her father does give her an assignment, and that is to go to Angel Creek, a town not far from the estate, and to get a guardian team together to replace the team that has recently left.

When Dawn gets to Angel Creek, lets just say that she is shocked to find the people that she is assigned to train are far less prepared to be guardians than she thought they would be. This is when the majority of the cast of characters are introduced, and I have to say that I really enjoyed them all, and all of them for different reasons.

From here on in the novel it is pretty fast paced, and truly left me wanting more, and I cannot wait to read the second novel. There are twists and turns in this story that I really did not see coming, and they were fantastic! I have not read a book with the same story line as this, and I wish I could write about it so I could explain how awesome it really is, but it would ruin everything so I can't, but let me just say this, you NEED to get this book as soon as possible and read it!

Absolute 5/5 for me! Well done Ada for an ending like that, loved it and hated it all at the same time.
