Wicked Thing by Angeline Kace

SYNOPSIS

Carmyn Rafferty witnessed the aftermath of her mother's affair. She learned at a young age not to trust anyone. Especially not your spouse. So she planned. She planned every detail of her life: who her husband would be, what their careers would be, what their lives would be like. All to avoid the pain of infidelity.

Dallas Brown lives a life all his own. He doesn't do relationships, he doesn't care what anyone thinks of him, and he doesn't live up to anyone's expectations but his own.

When Carmyn's fiance cheats on her, it sends her in to a whirlwind of one-night stands with the most infamous player on campus. She can't seem to stay away from this tough guy and his dangerous motorcycle. Everything about him is the complete opposite of who she'd planned to fall in love with: tattoos, dark stubble along his jawline, and hair that brushes his shoulders.

As Dallas and Carmyn begin to fall deeper and deeper into each other, they learn that love can truly be a wicked, wicked thing.

MY REVIEW

This book for me was a really quick romantic read, I really enjoyed the characters, and the setting at college was perfect. I think that it was a pretty accurate portrayal of that that type of college life would be like with the parties that everyone went to, the frat houses and sorties.

My favourite character was actually one of the secondary characters Ava, she was so much fun, and I would love to have her as a friend! Carmyn and Dallas both have issues from their past that they need to get over, and it seems that with help from each of them, they can together. Carmyn is the one that stands in their way though, I will be honest in saying that I would growl at her actions a few times during the book and want to smack her.

Dallas is more of a sweetheart than he wants everyone to believe, he sticks up for Carmyn when someone is trying to put her down, he makes sure that she is always taken care of. He lets everyone think what they want, especially when it comes to how many girls he has slept with. The one side of him that I like the most is his artistic ability, and how he does not let it go to his head, and he does not seem to understand how brilliant he really is.

Overall this gets a 4/5 from me, it was not perfect, but it was a really good romance. I would suggest it for anyone that likes the NA genre, it is a good addition for sure!
